OK, i have been useing alcohol 120% from day one when i got BF2 (no need to have CD in drive when playing), now, in some wired odd EA way, BF2 is saying that i have to remove all CD/DVD emulation softwere, so i do, restart PC, try to play says it again, is there anyway i can get rid of this, without reinstalling????

here's some advice for you... don't install software like Alcohol 120%, D-Tools, or CloneCD, or any other program on your computer that is known for aiding piracy.
sure, you probably actually bought the game and you're looking for a way to play the game without the cd in your drive, but EA doesn't know that. as far as they're concerned, you probably borrowed the cd from a friend and created a disc image (that you later mounted) with Alcohol 120% so that you wouldn't have to pay for the game.

Yeah, i hate having to have to put CDs in drives, and after hearing about someone who played a lot of one game (like me) there disc broke up in there drive, i will remove Clone CD, but right now im reinstalling, its funny today is the first time i used CloneCD, so that may be the probThe Soup Nazi wrote:

i had this problem when i first got the game. i uninstalled clone cd and it worked fine. then i had it again after i installed alcohol 120%. uninstalled that and it worked fine.

but i want play without DVD, our law allow ONE backup copy of any kind of software you bouht. so i have legal copy of course with my own serial on manual, how i can play without DVD in drive?
i think that DVD can be scratched for a while and after that ? EA give me another one? i dont think so... so how we can make this?

Actually, from what I have heard EA will replace scratched DVD's.
Also, d-tools works fine. (v3.47 is what I'm on.)

I reinstalled, all works, i think it was CloneCD what was the prob, AC120% worked fine with it
Yeah ea will replace cds/dvds for any of their games all u need to pay is for the cd and postage!.chuyskywalker wrote:
