I read
The Origin of Species, thinking I would read one of those books that was generally enriching for you... boy oh boy. The nomenclature and lexis is simple-enough for a non-biology student, but the actual content itself is pretty damn tedious and boring. During the same phase I thought it wise to read lots of Stephen Hawking astro-physics shit and lots of economics-books and all the rest of it. What a drag. I feel sorry for you, although that thesis does seem pretty interesting, as a concept.
@Burnz: They grow wild here, too. Couldn't tell you what type, or if they even contained psilocybin, but we even had them growing on the school field back at boarding school, and I remember the 'older kids' rebelliously picking them and making crazy-ass tea with it. I've only ever bought them pre-dried and from a reliable guy; I would never ever be brave enough to pick some random ass fungus and ingest it.
