Apparently a deadbeat homeowner evicted from his home stole the Kitchen and is holding it ransom.

It's also illegal.   This has "set up" written all over it.

How do you know the homeowner was a deadbeat?

Hey, what are you talking about?

When we bought our place we put in all new fixtures, A.C. and pergo floors.  lol, I will likely loose this place and all our upgrades go with us.

How do you know this is not the same situation?

Just my 10 seer ac unit is worth 3k. Just our floors were 2.5k in materials.

Fuck the bank, they can suck the fecal matter out of my rectum.

Forgive my naivety, but is that something you can really do? Take your upgrades with you? If so, do you not at least have to restore the house to original?

It could be worse. Someone stealing the copper piping/wiring and/or AC unit.

Yes but the new homeowner can request nothing to be taken out of the home. There were cases of the previous homeowners ripping out their landscape to bring with them to their new home so it is important to put certain expectations in writing before purchasing a house from the previous homeowner.

Sure you can take it. We spent a fuckload on our kitchen, so you can be damn sure we're selling it to the people who buy the house next, it's not coming free with the house!

Better do it quick then.

It’s a fixture if:

"There will be damage to the property (or would make the property unlivable) when the item is removed. If a cost will be involved to repair or replace the item.

    * Most often furnaces, ovens, and air conditioners, copper pipes, faucets, doorknobs, keys, trees, landscape items, etc. are considered as fixtures because they relate to the property being functional and relates to the current use of the property.

Note: Please keep in mind the original intention for the item when it was originally installed into the home or attached to the property. Was it installed to be a permanent part of the house or not?

It’s personal property if:

It is an item that is not attached to the property. Or if it can safely be removed from the house without any damage and replaced with something comparable.

    * Washing machines and dryers are usually considered a personal item. "

Well, with people absolutely gutting vandalizing houses, I'd think it could be worse than what I have in mind.

Everyone says do a short sale, but I only see that as something that is good for the banks. I will not buy again anyways, my wife would, so why the hell would I care about having a foreclosure on my record? The house is all in my name.

When and if I decided to throw in the towel, the bank will know about it. Then there is the cash for keys thing. They will offer us a check to leave, and if it seems fair, considering how much we have dumped into the black hole, we will take it and bail, and leave the fixtures and floors.

I have zero compassion for the banks. They fucked everything up and crashed the market. Not me. I am still current.

It just doesn't make financial sense anymore.

And for those who think the values will come back; compare median incomes to median home prices.

The values are not coming back anytime soon. Am I expected to spend ten to twenty years striving for zero equity?  Riiiiiiight.

The banks are playing games. They are not modifying loans like they were told to after tarp, and I really don't give a shit anymore what people say or think about that or about what decisions I make for my family.

I am living inside a meat grinder, and I fucking hate the bastards responsible for this economic disaster.

While agree with you theres also the fact that people thought is was ok to get 500k house on 1500 month income, credit cards, term loans, car loans holiday homes, holiday loans... etc etc and saw nothing wrong with it, allot of keep up with the jones for that matter as well. Everyone hates to see houses been taken from people, I think the banks should really take a step forward and help out as much as they can.

Instead of getting rid of all the bad debt to make them look good, which has or could cause fire sales and making it even more worse for the people who can pay but end up with a 100k house instead of 250+k house.

Sadly allot of this is out of our control.
