Harmor? You in cahoots with lowing or something, both of you seem to be going off on this faschist thing.
Ahh...the same type of generalizing lowing is often bashed for. Lowing's brought up some good discussion points whether they were based from a dark place or not...but my issue with some of his posts (and many of the far left "Obama is Christ" posts as well) is that they are completely polarized. Closed minded, group think at times. I disagree with a lot of his posts but I try to get past the rhetoric and hear his point. I do the same with CamPoe, et al. I often don't agree with blatant "defend the right or left" as it is often incredulous but I at least try to glean something out of it.
Here are some viewpoints that make more sense....and you'll see there is a reason these guys are some of the forum leaders.

This guy was a pretty staunch conservative (wasn't he the neo-Con leader at one time?). However, when he realized that the GWB administration was NOT doing the right thing...he called it for what it was and rather than defending it for the sake of being neo-Con...he changed his spots. Well done.

I have a hard read on his actual political compass but that may be why I value his opinion...it doesn't seem to be grounded in partisanship but rather some good old fashioned NoCar common sense.

Read his posts...I don't even have to explain. He doesn't get emotional, listens and then responds rather than yells. Not sure of his political affiliation either and that again speaks to his non-partisan views.
Early CamPoe -
As of late, he seems to sling the "C" word around a lot but I've always thought he had very intelligent posts. He's obviously well traveled and knows a bit about the world first hand. If you 'listen' to him...he makes good points.
There are obviously others and I'll let the lovefest end here. Just some examples of how I think D&ST could be.
As for the "bash Obama thread"...GWB had his for 8 years it's simply Obama's turn. That's the nature of the job and our nature to blame the one holding it rather than maybe exercising a bit of introspection.
