Town Hall...
So you can't hand out don't tread on me flags...? If you do you get attacked by SEIU Union thugs.

It's not my fault you wish to minimalize one event and act like it's okay just because of your obvious political associations.=JoD=Corithus wrote:
Done amazingly well for you thus far.
Are you suggesting these "mobs" of people at these town halls are organized? I bed to differ. As much as the left would think conservatives organized this (yes we did the Tea-bag thing, but this is not related), its really mostly old people...many more than I expected are Democrats than I would had thought.Poseidon wrote:
Both events are horrible. These "mobs" of political activists are pathetic, on both sides.

I gave another event and said that the other side isn't innocent, you claimed there's a "big difference", acting as if one event was suddenly okay just because the other was worse.=JoD=Corithus wrote:
Oh, and of course, you didn't attempt to "minimalize one event and act like it's okay just because of your obvious political associations."
Both events are unfortunate, but only one ended in a physical assault.

So, if I choose to attend a town hall meeting held by my representatives, I am a part of a political activist mob?Poseidon wrote:

Good luck with that. I know for a fact that they stacked ours with pro-obamacare.. how? Because a good friend of mine was on of the people in the meeting before it started. I posted video of it the other day. So very slanted. .. but expected.LividBovine wrote:

If you start threatening said representatives with death, yes.LividBovine wrote:

There is a big difference. One person was assaulted the other was not. There's a big difference between punching you in the face, and booing you off stage, are you really trying to say these two events are similar? I quite clearly stated that NEITHER event was "okay just because the other was worse", but one event clearly is worse. Don't try to claim I said something I didn't, my exact words were, "Both events are unfortunate, but only one ended in a physical assault."Poseidon wrote:

The problem with ..er.. my side.. is that they aren't asking questions. If they showed up to the meeting and at least gave the appearance of an open mind I think it would further their cause. However, screaming "socialism" and "read the damn bill!", does little to move the cause forward. These town hall meeting are meant to discuss and ask questions, not to protest.. although they certainly have the right.Poseidon wrote:

Yes, it's exactly what I said. You tried to minimalize one just because the other was worse.=JoD=Corithus wrote:

It's, in a way, a freudian slip. They do nothing to help their cause because they're against progress.Kmarion wrote:

A false assumption my young friend. I support reform on many levels. Just not this plan. That is also progress.Poseidon wrote:
