My cousin, Jillian Elias, was hit by a 19 year old drunk driver. Article from May 31, 2009 Jersey Journal:

Most ppl that bash the social networks don't understand how to use them properly.
I ignore people I don't like, I only comment if I have something to say, and use it as a place to share pictures with my friends and chat with my friends.

ehi rather do me work in public and I hate leaving records of most things. i just found out one of my friends in highschool thati grew out of touch with came out as bisexual. I'm sorta suprised not the bisexual part but the fact that hen came out. huh

There is no reason that you cant be social offline as well. In fact facebook can help you arrange the meeting. We had a semi reunion around Christmas time that would have been near impossible to arrange if not for facebook.
