We're 10+ in front of GMT, so it's 5 mins past midnight on SATURDAY right now.
fucking hell, 19 minutes of deleting cookies
+10, -7 hmm . . . i guess, if i'm going to Australia, it'd be quicker to go west.
If you come to Australia you miss out on a day, but when you go back home you arrive yesterday.

ok, how much time would i need to properly see Australia? if i'm going to bank my vacation time, add that time-travel bit into the eqaution, how much for "Must See While You're Here"?
Protip: We are an entire continent. I lawl at Europeans who allocate the same time to see one of their pissant countries for us.
I say 2 weeks per state. Take your pick which.

thanks. i reckon i'll fly into Alice Springs and just go walkin' about.
Actually, i was hoping for what Australians would consider as 'Must See', plan a route from that, and then book it.
Sydney Opera House, etc. etc. Mind you, i realize it's winter now, i probly wouldn't want to go @ the heighth of summer or winter.
i figure no-one knows their country (in this case continent) better than the locals.

I was gonna post that the Continent was actually Oceania and Australia is just a country but it would seem that Wikipedia doesn't want to back me up on this.burnzz wrote:

Continent....is one landmass, not a series of islands.
Australia is a continent, oceania is Australia + all those islands (and NZ I suppose).
TimmmmaaaaH, what would you have to see if yer in Australia for the last time?
Hmm. Well. I guess Sydney harbour bridge, great barrier reef are pretty good.burnzz wrote:
