TWINX2048-4000PT Latency 3-4-4-8 (I am guessing this is better because its abit extra)

TWINX2048-3200C2 Latency 3-4-4-6

Since the Price difference is only minor Which ram is better? i am not so sure on this. I thought the Lower the Latency the better the ram, am i correct?

The difference in stock timing is almost not worth mentioning, but with the PC4000 it would probably run at PC3200 speed with lower timings, and you'd have more room for overclocking, if you're into that kind of thing.

actually, if he's not overclocking, the C2 would be better, and i dont think the timings are right on the C2, coz C2 stands for CAS 2.0

so, the timings would be 2.0-4-4-6

If you can, I'd go with the 2-3-3-6 2x1GB Corsair package. You can get that for as low as $120-$180.

No. It's the CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) TWINX2048-3200C2 for around $180. Newegg offers a $50 rebate from Corsair, but if I remember correctly it only applies for the States.

Another option is the OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) OCZ4002048ELDCPE-K, being sold for around the same price. It is timed at 2-3-2-5 (suprising for as large of modules as those are, so I'd probably memtest it for 10 hours on that and, if given any error, bump it to '3-3-5 or '3-3-6), outpacing similar Corsair products and running at a mere 2.6V, which is optimum as most motherboards can't select the recommended decimal values like "2.75V". Honestly, OCZ has about the same reputation as Corsair for quality products. Newegg also offers a $50 rebate.

Bottom line:

Check with your mainboard manufacturer and make sure the memory you're getting will work with your setup. If your computer is somewhat old, then go ahead with the Value Select. If all of your parts seem outdated, it might be time just to buy something new. I always try to tell people to avoid upgrading, as it just decreases the trade-in value (if they're not keeping their old machine).

Be careful with those mail-in rebates. 90% of them on the market are pure, unadulterated bullcrap.

the TWINX2048-3200C2

TWIN = 2
X= Corsair XMS
2048 = 2048mb
3200= PC 3200 = DDR 400 = 200mhz
C2 = CAS Latency 2.0

if not overclocking, thats the best buy

People should also note that TWINX2048-3200C2PT is the same as above, only PT refers to its "platinum-colored" heat sinks.

...

Now, if you have a somewhat in-date computer, this is probably the best memory you're going to get:

OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 2x1024MB Dual Channel Platinum XTC 2-3-2-5

I might consider it as a last upgrade for my current system (as I'm not going to sell it), while moving my 2x512MB 2-2-2-5 Corsairs to my Athlon XP. Don't expect to overclock these modules very much, though. There is little headroom for that.

Then, for less than $290, the Titanium OCZ's or the Corsair XMS's should do you good.

Then tell me, please. What does "HOWIT" mean. I keep hearing it yelled in my ear by the radio noises in-game.

i have the TWINX2048-3200C2 in my system right now, and it works great. i have a AMD though and Corssir says to put my timings at 2.5-3-3-6. i have it at 2.75v @208mhz and is stable, so there is just alittle bit of room for OCin. im sure it will go higher but you will have to bring the timings down to 3-3-3-8 i believe.
