Then you're not looking at many benchmarks.  The 4890 can go head-to-head with the 275, no problem.
I agree, I thinks it better since its ATi, they are not as greedy as as a corporation as nVidia.
For me it's not a matter of corporate greed.  I just prefer ATI's drivers.  I've had better luck and fewer issues with them.  When the 48xx series released I couldn't have been happier to rid myself of my 8800GTS.
I agree nVidia makes terrible drivers.

Swan, do you even have slightest experience with G2xx cards? Both G2xx and HD4xxx drivers are pretty good, but both older gen drivers blew. (yes, HD 3xxx drivers were veryt cocky, same could be said from 8800...)

You are right. I agree, both drivers are actually pretty good.

I agree too, both drivers are great. But I have had a few problems with my 4870 regarding some games like Fallout 3 and Company Of Hereos.

Bottom line is that either card would be very good. They perform very similarly and both have decent drivers. Really whichever is cheapest or comes bundled with something you want is the one I would get (although I am bit of an ATi fan )
