So, what about other non-white people? I mean, I can see ditching whites in a speech (since we're all evil), but you gotta give other races some love too.
Its not racism when directed against your own race, unless it is a statement used by others in a derogatory manner (the n-word offends many black people, even when used by other blacks, as an example). It may seem a bit stupid at first, but I'd argue its fairly logical. If a white person told other whites that white people need to be more tolerant of other races, or less inclined towards ignorance, its not the same as a black person or Asian doing it. Stop grasping at straws to attack Obama. There are plenty of substantive things you can attack him on, and this is not one of them.

Bill Cosby was attacked by the black (sorry African-American) community for suggesting things like this.
So he says something that needs to be said and the best you guys can come up with is " He's a racist".
You cant even acknowledge that this was a good thing and possibly needed to be said.
I honestly believe the "Debate and Serious Talk" section has degenerated into a right wing whinge fest. Theres hardly any real debate here. A year ago (or so) the quality of this forum was so much better.
