Battlefield 1943 on G4TV
Straight from @OfficialBF1943 is word of a new video with X-Play's Adam Sessler talking about Battlefield 1943. As many will notice they did slip up and say the PC version is out, which of course it is not out yet.

Also here are a couple more reviews.

I'd give it a few days until we unlock it. Good to see that it's separate on the Menu and not on the map rotation, now all they need is seperate buttons for Wake Island, Guadacanal and Iwo Jima

Well, that was fast!

In a little over four days, the Xbox 360 community tallied over 43,000,000 kills, un-locking both the Coral Sea map and the Air Superiority mode for the console.

Coral Sea is accessed from the Air Superiority icon on the main menu. Air Superiority differs from the Conquest mode found on other maps by eliminating flag points in favor of an all-out, aerial deathmatch!

We're in the process of determining who executed the final 43,000,000th kill, so check back soon!

Congratulations to the Xbox 360 community for winning the challenge and come on PS3 fans! Don't let 360 players have all the fun!

the fact that you have to tell everyone here that you were indicates you were most likely in your room jerking it the whole time.

because anyone who really has no purpose in a thread whatsoever and suddenly comes in to brag about "RL friends" clearly is lying out their ass.

it's really not hard to tell.

now I know you have a thing for not contributing in 9 out of 10 of all your of your posts, but please, try to do so for once.

back on topic:

I should be picking it up next week...I still haven't been able to get the demo but it's got good reviews from critics and users alike so fuck it, I'll just get it. I haven't really bought that many games in the past few months anyways.

Battlefield 1943's 43,000,000th Killer
DICE located the 43,000,000th kill down to a player out of England who will be recieving some Battlefield swag.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

While un-locking the Coral Sea map was definitely a communal effort, we here at EA DICE would like to give a shout out to Xbox live user James (jkasapi) from Peterborough, England.
It was James' virtual bullet that registered the 43,000,000th kill, un-locking the Coral Sea map and Air Superiority mode for all Xbox users.
For his trouble, James wins a pair of official 1943 sunglasses, a 1943 t-shirt, and custom Battlefield sneakers! Congrats James!
Playstation fans, keep playing! We'll have a similar give-away when the PS3 community hits 43,000,000 kills.

Team Xbox Coral Sea Impressions
Our friends over at Team Xbox posted a short write up on the new Coral Sea map, which was unlocked yesterday for Xbox 360 users.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Getting a gift for free is always great, but there’s something a little more special about earning it. Xbox 360 gamers definitely earned the gift that Electronic Arts and developer DICE were giving out to the online community that could be the first to reach 43 (get it?) million kills online with their new downloadable remake of a PC gaming classic, Battlefield 1943. It pitted the gamers on Xbox Live versus those on the PlayStation Network. Fanboy vs. Fanboy. And in a surprise to no one (at least no one ’round these parts), the Xbox 360 gamers got their first, accomplishing the feat in only five days (basically racking up kills at a rate twice that of the “other” community). That’s a lot of people playing Battlefield 1943 online since the Coral Sea kill counter started tracking player dispatches this past Friday.

The prize for this accomplishment is not only a new map added to the game, but a new gameplay mode, with both immediately available to everyone who has bought the game. The map is called Coral Sea and the mode is called Air Superiority. If you haven’t played the new content yet, rest assured that it’s a lot different from the type of game you’ve come to expect from Battlefield 1943 so far. Read the rest...

Didn't BF1942 release a day early on Xbox? Kind of an unfair advantage when one side gets a full 24 hour head-start.

Apparently there were lots of problems with the kill counters and it reading 0 for a long time with the PS3 etc.. I wouldn't be surprised if there were all sorts of stupid bugs preventing kills from registering and other stuff. Meh who cares, some people are getting so serious about this shit it's ridiculous
