- When will President Obama's approval rating go below 50%?
Poll
When will President Obama's approval rating go below 50%?
By September | 25% | 25% - 13
By December | 30% | 30% - 16 | ||||
Middle of 2010 | 7% | 7% - 4 | ||||
Before 2010 mid-term elections | 1% | 1% - 1
2011+ | 5% | 5% - 3 | ||||
Not while he is president | 28% | 28% - 15
Total: 52 |
I'll go with December. If history is any indication, most presidents have dips and rises in their popularity throughout their terms. After about a full year of being in office is when a lot of them have experienced dips.
Overall, 55% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance so far. Forty-four percent (44%) disapprove.
When he invades Iran or passes cap and trade and hands over what little is left in our wallets to those parasites on Chicago Climate Exchange. Which ever comes first.
If/when cap and trade passes and we get screwed by the speculators, and that's likely to happen before 2012... If that happens he won't be re-elected because the majority of his supporters won't be able to afford the gas to get to the polls, and the crooks on wall street and in chicago are not his friends so I seriously doubt his judgment on cap and trade.
If he avoids doing either of those, then he won't go below 50%. and if he gets a public option healthcare reform he is likely to bounce up to 60%.

It's the largest tax increase in history that will do way more harm than good if any.
I will be fine... The poor people and lower middle class who are all ready strapped will suffer unfortunately...

yes, yes, we're not going into Iran because it would be really really stupid.... which is IMO just about as moronic as passing cap and trade. I put those two ideas at about the same level. Both would cost the American economy dearly and will cost lives when people like the elderly can't afford air conditioning in the hot summers or can't afford heat in the winters. But I'm sure the psychotic scum traders won't lose any sleep.Kmarion wrote:

If cap and trade passes and PBO signs it he will go below 50% just as soon as the speculators starting flipping the keyboards with their fat greedy little fingers while they trade most of us into the poor house.
The public's tirade over the cap and trade issue will be PBO's downfall.
Barack is going to get keep the white house in 2012.
Make the kids happy now with easy summer jobs and keep the teachers who will be spending most of their time with the kids lush with cash and benefits and when the next election rolls around those new voters are going to jump up and vote in masses for Obama.
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld … 3370.storyBut the president, who plans to meet with economic advisors and his Cabinet at the White House today following his return from a five-day foreign trip, will promise hundreds of thousands of new jobs with increased spending on maintenance projects at military bases, about 1,600 road and airport projects, the hiring of some 135,000 teachers and other school staffers and 125,000 summer jobs for youth under the supervision of the Department of Labor.

He's the president. It's not like he's some annoying celebrity that you just want to go away.FatherTed wrote:

The only poll that matters is the one come voting day.
It won't pass. Red state democrats are hopping off the bandwagon faster than that rich pansy in "Titanic" hopped ship.Macbeth wrote:

I really doubt we're entering Iran. Well, at least, I don't think we'll do it until everything settles down over there.Diesel_dyk wrote:

Invading in the midst of a civil war is really stupid. Invading after a weak government brutally oppresses its people is more practical, because if the Ayatollah opts for killing thousands of people to maintain order, we will be able to get international support for invasion -- including the help of other Muslim nations.
Obama's Presidential Approval Index now at -2 on June 30, 2009
July 1st:

Of the above the Trust Obama on Economic Crisis at 30% is the most surprising to me.

I probably wouldn't even trust a Nobel prize winning economist on the economic crisis tbh.
And again...

Still hovering at around 60%
Don't get your hopes up just because one poll places it at 54%.

Soon enough it will go down... His personal popularity is high but his policies are tanking...
This is so much like Jimmy Carter... I hope someone moderate left or moderate right steps up soon to challenge the messiah in 2012
The upcoming elections in 2010 will be a huge indicator if things are going to get better or not.
