As far as the rest of your post, I agree with it except it is a national problem not just CA. It up to whichever Americans are left in the US, to do something about this. Our constitution permits this. Question is, what are we Americans prepared to do? The truth is, nothing I am afraid. As Americans we have been too comfortable for too long, and now that sacrifices might need to be made to save our country, it will be hard to pry us all away from our Ipods, and Xboxes to do so. We will be content with the hope that someone else will do something about it and nothing more.
The current generation of sexting and MySpace and IM's leave no hope at all. This generation is lost forever in the world of cyber space and their own little lives they have created artificially. Real life holds little value and can not compare to what they have created on the net. As their social skills go, so will solutions to real world issues regarding the future of our nation.
