So why isn't Obama voicing his support for freedom if its human nature to be free?  Is it because they don't want to 'mettle' thinking that after all this demonstrations and bloodshed will be for not.  After the hardliners and militia hand down their 'justice' Obama will still have to deal with the theocracy instead of a fledgling democracy?

Reagan in the 1980s voiced our support for freedom...remember the "Tear down this wall Mr. Gorbachev," speech helped the opposition movement in Eastern Europe? 



We know Obama can make great speeches, perhaps one to support the Iranian people in their time of need would be nice right about now.

Just like Reagan did.

Not exactly, but kinda half-assed imho.  He still doesn't want to "upset" the theocracy.

You would be right if we had international observers there during the election.  For all we know the election was a sham...at least that's what all the demonstrators think...enough to risk their lives right now.

Its getting really bloody now.  Unconfirmed death toll at 150.

I wonder if the Mullas will demand the account information for all the bloggers/tweeters to kill them next?
