Actually. Porsche was owned by VW until about a year ago. Porsche played the stock market and made billions then bought a 70% stake in VW.ghettoperson wrote:

I have no idea what's happened since then, but Hitler told Ferdinand Porsche back in the 30's to create cheap cars for the people, and they sold them under the name of Volkswagen. Maybe Porsche sold them later on and then bought them back I don't know.
Actually Porsche has never been owned by VW, they have cooperated on several occasions but the Porsche family has been in control of Porsche since the beginning ... and Porsche didn't buy a 70% stake in VW last year, they have steadily increased their shares in VW over time ... they did however increase their ownership from 35% to 70% last year ...Idlewild wrote:

Actually, it's Kuh-nigs-egg (using English pronunciation). Any Norwegians to back me up on this?FatherTed wrote:

Koennigsegg have said that they won't be doing any radical differences to the cars, other than bringing the technology they have developed to existing and new models, as well as making them "greener".CapnNismo wrote:
Could you imagine the kinds of Saabs coming out after Koenigsegg jumps into management? Fuck yea!
As for the pronounsiation, I've always said "Kö-nit-segg" - though that T probably doesn't belong there.
o+e = ö in any case, kinda like how an American would pronounce the u in hurl.
I believe CapnNismos version is more correct if you replace the Kuh with Kø or Kö ... the T does not belong thereJenspm wrote:
