So I got BF2 working now. Now I have some more fun!

If it's a genuine memory problem PB might be detecting a no fog hack (it will scan for memory in use that shouldn't be), so if you are using a no fog or altered fog distance patch disable it.
Or, you could have a ram problem. If you have two sticks try with one, to see which is faulty.
This error might also be the result of using a virtual disc image rather than the bf2 disc in the cd tray.
