When I used to ride the bus, I always took the spot farthest back. The less people coughing on me, the better. And besides which, it's the 'cool' spot.Hurricane2k9 wrote:
I mean christ Rosa Parks didn't get her ass beat for nothing. Yet every time I get on the bus, I always notice that the black and hispanic riders always make a beeline for the back. it's practically spitting on everything she stood for
why?????????????????
I think their predecessors would be happy with the freedom to choose whatever unoccupied spot they wanted..Sup wrote:

The back of the bus is the cool part nowadays. Why? I don't know.
its to keep an eye on whitey. god didnt you learn anything in high school?
That's because you probably take up the whole seat.I'm Jamesey wrote:

coz they're gangsta
Well though I'm not black when I have to ride the bus I always go for the back for several reasons.
1. The bus has two doors one in the back and front. If you are in the back you can get off easier at anytime without having to go through the people getting on.
2. The way the seats are positioned in the back gives you more room.
3. In the winter the back is warmer.
4. You can keep an eye on everyone.
5. You can have inappropriate for public conversations in the back without most other people hearing you.
The back of the bus is actually pretty awesome.

This thread is retarded. They sit at the back because they want to.
When I took the loser cruiser to college I always sat at the back. Way more room, plus you don't have to worry about people shuffling past you.
You know, with your high school diploma and bus riding tendencies one would think you would understand this

Because its considered cool in both the white and black community to do so. They wanted the right to sit where they please, as would I, that doesn't mean they have to exercise it. I want the right to sit in the front row of an opera house, but I'll never use it, I just want to know that its there.
Naw dude. I love black people. One of my best friends is black. And I've got dat jungle fever.Deadmonkiefart wrote:

I'm just wondering (and my black friend wonders this too) why they almost ALWAYS go to the back. Asians, hispanics and whites don't seem to be magnetically attracted to the back.

Really Mek? Sine about the early 1900s.Mekstizzle wrote:

where around DC do you live?
I used to sit in the back when I was 14 - it's where the cool kids sat - furthest away from the bus driver, with one row of 5 seats (the only one in the entire bus). Now I just sit closest to the doors
Also, what Kmarion said.
