posted this on other forums to, just made a copy to here.

In BF2 you can't adjust your gamma, brightness and contrast , and many people complain the dark area's are to dark, and some even set the lightning quality off so the dark area's lighten up but offcourse you loose some eyecandy,  I use difirent colourprofiles for my games and other applictaions, this way you keep the eyecandy and you won't miss enemy's because they are in a dark area you will spot them directly, and here is how make them en set them , actualy everybody should do this, just to finetune there game , I know it's possible with ATI cards also, but I don't know the catalyst drivers so well anymore .

Just folow the screens with the explenation above and you will find it very easy . my driver is in dutch but I will translate to english in explenation

For starting, on your desktop , click right mouse button, then properties

click on settings
https://users.telenet.be/rombaft/colb.jpg

click on the name of your vid card
https://users.telenet.be/rombaft/colc.jpg

now we will create a colour profile, click on colour correction in the list
http://users.telenet.be/rombaft/cold.jpg

for making thing a little more bright, you just turn up the values pointed out, not to much a litle bit makes a whole diffirence, also to compensate the brightness, turn up contrast a little, here it will be diffirent for everybody, some will need to adjust mre then others and you just try something, afterwards test in BF2 and when not happy adjust more or adjust back to lower values . after changing the values, click on save ass
https://users.telenet.be/rombaft/cole.jpg

then you can name this profile to whatever, to make it easy call it BF2 , if you make more then one profile you can use BF2a, .... doesn't mather what you call it, just remember wich one is for BF2 .
https://users.telenet.be/rombaft/colf.jpg

now you have made a colour profile and you need to add it to the BF2 profile in your driver, now you click on prestaion and quality settings in the menu
https://users.telenet.be/rombaft/colg.jpg

click on the drop down menu and scroll till you find BF2.exe , click on BF2.exe
https://users.telenet.be/rombaft/colh.jpg

now you are in the profile of BF2, in the drop down menu pointed out, click on advanced settings
https://users.telenet.be/rombaft/coli.jpg

now look in the small window (need to scrol down) for colour profile, click on it (also need to click it on) and then you will be able to add the colour profile you have made, this will be called :"adapted" and then the name you gave the profile, then just click on aply and the colour profile is added to BF2, now start up BF2 and test it

some remarks
- if you have an enhancer for your nvidia drivers or something else running on your pc, it will probably not work, this because the enhancer is blocking the nvidia driver , I have tried the same with an enhancer but it didn't work out so good , also the curent nvidia drivers have the same and sometimes even more settings to add to a game profile then some enhancer progs .
- also, maybe this is more for in the hardware section, but I think everybody should read this and test it for themselves

hope I helped some guys here with this

Sweet pussy.

But seriously, thanks for the information.  Very detailed, and I'll give it a shot!
