Actually early human tribes were successful because they had no particular concept of private ownership and shared everything. What's yours was actually mine too.

Once again nickb64, you don't understand how things work in the real world. Welfare is a government's way of making sure it's citizens are nice, charitable people. Its the net difference between charity and human greed.

But "entitlements" are what help tp keep poor people from slitting throats. Welfare is a societal compromise and a recognition that the market can't meet the needs of everyone because the market in reality requires winners and losers.
