So, when the patch was released, I was promoted to Master Sergeant. I was surprised by this, as I thought I would reach First Sergeant.

Anyway, I contacted EA about it, and they told me that I did not have all the prerequisites for First Sergeant, and thus, did not gain that rank. I was confused, as I had everything UBAR told me I needed and more, but then the EA support person told me that UBAR's list of requirements is incorrect, specifically the "points and time tallies" (their words).

The strange thing about that is, I had over 35,000 points when I was promoted, but some people with under 25,000 reached First Sergeant.

I tried to get more information, but they said "We leave it to the players to find out what the requirements are" -- not much I can do with that.


Any thoughts?

Additionally, I can tell you from this guy or perhaps this one that medic/support points have jack shit to do with getting the rank. And if they do, it's so insignifcant as to not even matter. (What, 10 heal points to get First Srg? Sure...)
