Okay so I've been thinking more and more about a job. I've been selling that candy but it's just not enough and I need a solid steady income...

But heres the thing... I don't want to be mopping the floors in the shitters at the local grocery store for 6 hours... I want a job that I can work 3-4 hour shifts, I also already have trips planned this summer and don't want my job to fuck with that.

I don't want to work at a fastfood place and I would probably kill myself if I did the same tedious shit everyday

What kind of job do you guys think I should be looking for? I know I have to start out small and can't expect too much

Also working outside more than 80% of the time is a no-no because its going to be hitting 110-115 this summer pretty much every day, also, I'm 17 just shy of 18 so I think i could get a somewhat decent job (most good jobs like ice cream stores hire at 16 and the shit jobs are <16)

You don't have to be specific, just something like (bus boy - from experience it was blah blah blah and tips blah blah etc) will do

Pizza delivery, bus boy, waiter at a restaurant. Those all have 3-4 hour shifts, little responsiblity, and the money should be decent too (tips).

What about a call-centre job? In Britain, call centre jobs are what most students do, they're easy. Sit on your ass for a shirt, and it's allll indoors. Good money too.

Work somewhere privately owned, fuck Supermarkets/video stores.

Work somewhere that relate to whatever you want to when you leave school (Hardware shop if you're looking for a trade etc.), so they can give a good reference.

Pizza would be good, but I dont have car insurance, only a motorcycle - also I dont think I'm old enough, like to be on their insurance and what not

the resturant might be good, but we lack those out here (honestly) and those jobs are hard to get

I've worked at cvs, worked at a state park sort of thing (reservoir, ice rink, pool, basically it) doing labor intensive work. Job sucked... only good part was that I got to ride a golf kart around the reservoir all the time. Mad fun.
cvs was just plain stupid, so boring.

So yeah my 3rd job but easily my favorite.
CVS I held for 4 months but was forced to quit (arrested, no comment)
The laborer job was just for the summer
seven subs I worked while I was doing the laborer job

anyways basically what you want to do is a night time delivery job. Hours can be about 4-9 which is 5 hours, easy stuff. If not, find somewhere bigger like some sort of daycare thing. You can do stuff along the lines of work from like 2-5 while the "professionals" fill out paper work and whatever. I know a few kids that do that.

Yeah, what are your guys thoughts on working in electronics? I know a good deal of info on them (at least for retail) but my only concern is dealing with absolute idiots, but then again that might be good...

I don't like to shop at best buy but has anyone ever worked there? I'd like to hear your thoughts on that...

maximum i got was about 9quid an hour as regular shifts, i used to get one-off payments for sup'ing parties and the stuff. but the work is incredibly boring. and if your working outside in Arizone (esp over the holidays when i imagine you'd be busiest) you'd have that insane heat to deal with too.
