I personally haven't. Lots of decent one/multinight stands though.

I met my current gf at a festival though, but that doesn't count because of her being a friend of a friend -> earlier references. So she wasn't a random aquaintance per se.

Similar to how I met my ex.

Ok, so some questions. I know as soon as she gets here I'm gonna want to kiss her and stuff. Do I or don't I? If I do does it make me seem like I need her or something? Also is there a higher chance of the not caring thing backfiring, or working?

I wouldn't attempt kissing (and stuff) but rather showing an attitude that you're going to do well without her, yet that you will most definitely miss her. Keep some distance but don't present yourself as an indifferent prick. Be a gentleman, even if she isn't. Don't lose your cool.

Yes I reckon so and Don has answered in pretty much the same way.  It's a fine line, you may have to lie but you don't want to rub it in her face.  I tell mine when we keep splitting up 'Im going to have more kids, Im going to meet another woman, settle down get married etc, would rather it was with you but hey ho, life goes on and if your not part of it it's your loss'.  I dont advice that exact line but something along it.

Sometimes it's only when they can't have you that they do want you, for eg, when she see's out with your next GF.
