Books that should be movies.

Animorphs as a 10-part miniseries. The problem with the (short-lived) TV series was that it strayed too far from the books, effectively killing itself off.

golden compass was a pile of shit.

they had lyra dead on, the rest of em terrible (who the fuck casts gandalf as the bear). asriel was right, pan was shit, the music was shit (i had images of a swooping view on svalbard etc with set fire to third bar playing) coulter was ok but the bitch was too wooden in the acting. growing up reading that trilogy, they were among the best 'novels' i read, so much left to the imagination.

i want to murder whoever made that movie.

I hated it when they spent 10 minutes on the ending which should have lasted about 30.. the part where the kid I can't remember's name gets taken by Lyras dad.

Firstly Roger should have been dead by the end of it. It really amazes me how they ruined one of my favourite children's books quite so well. A remake with the actual title Northern Lights is needed following the text closer and focusing on the religious themes. Eragorn is another book that was completely butchered by it being turned into a film, truly god awful

Id love to see an updated version of lord of the flies, I also think the edge chronicles could make a fantastic set of movies if done right.
