If you can't hit it with this. You can't hit anything!
The AA12 Assault Shotgun: is a weapon constructed with heat treated, corrosion resistant, aircraft quality stainless steel. It is gas operated, air cooled and fires from the open bolt. The AA12 is both box magazine and drum fed having a rate of fire 360 rounds per minute. When correctly fired, there is a counter recoil mechanism incorporated in the design of the gun which reduces recoil to a minimum. This automatic shotgun may be fired single shot by releasing the trigger quickly after each round or fully automatic by holding the trigger to the rear without releasing it. There are no tools necessary for field maintenance and cleaning of this weapon. It best operates without the use of oils or lubricants and may be cleaned with soap and water. Removal of the barrel assembly only requires the use of a 3/16 inch allen wrench, while complete dis-assembly and assembly requires the use of fingers only. Within the design there is a cone shaped barrel extension which provides 100% positive feed.

Note: The AA12 Assault Automatic Shotgun is specifically designed for Naval Military use only. Therefore, some principles normally perceived of shotguns designed for sporting use do not apply to this
weapon. The AA12 is not a (MACI) military adaptable commercial item.
DESIGN CRITERIA
1. Total configuration and construction is based on factors perceived advantageous for a rugged military weapon used throughout the world-specifically, in and around the ocean, seas, rivers, jungles! and deserts.
2. Firing from the open bolt (prevents cook off).
3. Large and small capacity magazine and drums.
4. Total construction, corrosion resistance stainless steel and high impact plastics.
5. Large durable components.
6. Simple design with minimum working components.
7. No tools required for field maintenance.
8. Open manufacturing tolerances to ensure functioning in any operational conditions.
9. Ability to fire consistently controlled single shots, short burst and full automatic mod e. (Without a 3r! d position switch
necessary).
10. Minimum recoil directly to the rear.
11. Non-rising muzzle which retains target acquisition.
12. Protective cover for all functioning assemblies which serves as a stock and grip for the weapon and protects the user from heat generated from firing.
13. Sights arranged to facilitate natural point instinctive firing without lowering the shooters head to the weapon.
14. Requires little or no oils or lubricants except in extremely cold, wet areas to prevent freezing (CLP).
15. Requires Little or no cleaning and can be cleaned with soap and water (Recommended clean and inspect every 2000 rounds).
16. May be fired wet with magazine filled with water.
17. Can be fired easily by small stature person.
18. Can be fired easily using one hand maintaining target engagement.
19. Tools, no special tool required for 2nd or 3rd echelon maintenance except for one 3/16 inch allen wrench used to remove a barrel binder screw, small hammer and roll pin punches.
20. Virtually jam free due to design of chamber barrel extension.
21. Ability to see rounds in drum magazine.
22. Highly producible due to minimum number of components, having only seven machining operations performed on total components. Small number of weldments. Manufactured using easily obtainable materials. Simple design, easy assembly and dis-assembly. Total interchangeable components, no final form fit and functioning of components. N! o final Gunsmithing.
23. Safety switch and magazine release location are compatible with other weapons in the system.
24. Easily stored and carried due to no protruding bolt handles or cocking handles located on side of weapon.
25. Ability to withstand rough handling without firing when dropped on hard surfaces.
26. Color coding: the composite panel covers which serves as a stock and hand grip may be obtained in colors black, brown, navy gray, tan, and camouflage.
27. Ability to easily reload drums and magazines.
28. Ability to easily reload weapon with loaded magazines in the dark while running. (Why would you have to run from anything when you have this?)

A Springfield Armory M-21...although they already had one in Battlefield Vietnam the Marines are still using it today...I own the M1A version and it's sweet...great accuracy...I can compete with high accuracy bolt actions...oh well a man can dream...a man can dream...

The specs of that gun might be really nice, I don't doubt that, but...Talon wrote:
H&K G11! This gun can fire a three shot burst with no recoil! The 3 bullets fire, then the gun recoils. Anyone played the old PS2 game, 007:Agent Under Fire? It's called the D17 in that.
