~50MPG (about 42MPG in American units).
Actually that's an old pic, I've changed the headlights and tails sinse then.
One thing I give Europe is they got car down right. Small turbo diesels and high octane small gas engines. The US needs to unfuck itself in this respect.
but it comes with the BMW-brand tax.

the engines the same as a 3 series. my friends got a 3 coupe with the same engine 6MT and he only gets a few better to the gallon than me. but it depends how we're driving. its quite compact too- its like a car with a high roof and a big trunkMekstizzle wrote:
The reason smaller cars aren't prevalent in the US is because the crash tests/safety standards are higher. Because everyone in the USA drives a fucking tank, these cars won't pass any tests in safety. So you're essentially stuck in a cycle where all your cars need to be tanks in order to be allowed for sale (or something like that), and you can't get good economy out of a tank, you can only get so much.Lotta_Drool wrote:

Even that BMW X3 that someone posted, that's a pointless vehicle. It boasts a good MPG etc.. but it would be better off just fitting the engine into a 3 series instead and you'd probably get even better economy. A car like that would only do good in the USA where it has to be a big thing like that and not a 3 series compact

Sorry Euro-pee-ons I forget that u don't get super sweet gas prices and have to resort to publick transportation/donkey carts. So I m sure u pay like only 12 euros a liter or what ever the fuck u use for money and volume over in nobody gives a shit about land. So if u wish to take part in this thread just pretend u r not being bent over at the pump or ur donkey/bus is ur car.

Both cars are f***ing ugly. Don't tell me you had to pay for any of them?
I got two SUVs, one paid off and the other is a company car.
I don't drive much, fill up every other week.
A more fuel efficient car will be purchased the next time around. Economically it doesn't make sense for me to pay $7k more for a hybrid when I hardly drive anyway.
When my car dies, I'll buy an electric turd.

That's a lot like mine - but I've got different alloys.
Honda Fit, 35-40 mpg

That is a nice Harley. My dad just got one of the roadsters a few months ago, when I go out to Hawaii to visit him in June I'll finally get to ride it.

That Romeo is a car with style. I about bought an RX-8 ( similar body style) before I got my HHR, it was fun as hell to drive and I loved the interior but it got shitty mileage. Damn was it fun to drive though.
I really do like my HHR though for it being a wagon. I got the 2.4 liter with sport suspension and will be giving it an intake/exhaust/chip mod to get ~ 210hp out of it and increase the gas mileage at the same time. Not bad for a little 3200lb vehicle. What is truely insane is that people are supercharging/turbocharging the things and getting 300+ HP out of the engines for about $3500. The SS model comes stock with 260HP. The performance suspension makes it a pretty sporty ride, for a wagon.

It didn't come in Antartic Blue with optional rally fun pack.

No, I was going to buy one but decided not to get it because of gas mileage.FatherTed wrote:

I figured a 1.3L two door coupe would get better than 20 mpg.
yeah, that wankel (hehehehe) engine is odd. and they break lots. cool doors though.Lotta_Drool wrote:
