What would you rather have: A cheap Chinese car that'll last you for five years when your rich uncle promised you a new one, and then break down, or a cheaper Japanese car that comes with a fucking huge stereo, and will be resellable when your uncle gets you the new one?
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Question that doesnt need it's own thread.  Can someone tell me, how to select optical out on an xbox 360 please?  In audio options, all it asks me is if I want surround or stero.  Connected via HDMI, but I want sound through the optical to receiver.

thanks babes xx

Now the copy of my BF2 folder (patch 1.41) won't load. When I try it in 1.5 the edited controls won't apply

Actually, it's very likely that it has your typical supercar nose-raiser so that it CAN get over speed bumps. But come on, that's a track model that's been stripped down. If you're taking that around town as a daily driver, you're clearly daft. It may not even be road legal ... but then, this is Ferrari, not Porsche we're talking about. So it will never be driven except for the press, so what's the point of even making it road legal? It'll probably never see the road being a Ferrari.

Two Sony SS-SRX7s. Got them for fixing some stuff for a guy. They're much better than I'd imagine from Sony, and certainly put the brand a notch higher up on my list. At least their higher-end stuff. I didn't know you could push such powerful midrange out of 4" drivers. And hell, they're barely 35cm tall and weigh almost 4kg a piece!

You can get 1080p on 21.5"?  Nice, I thought it would have to be a larger screen.
And with HDMI, DVI and D-Sub. Very nice!

Question 4 Miggle: can you utilise (and easily select between) the 3 inputs at the same time?

I have 3 old PC's in my house right now that are still in use. All are over 5 years old, and all are some generic cheap manufacturer like Dell. They still work just fine.

The title should be changed to "What tech did you get today?" tbh. A bit more liberal.

Also, I technically bought it, as I put a couple of euros on parts for the guy's stuff.

Yeah but 99.9% seems to understand what this is about (finny is that 0.01%).

I see no reason to change the title atm.

sort of, there's buttons on the front which let you go to a menu where you can switch them, but it's kind of a hassle. I have it running my PS3 and as a second monitor for my computer so whenever I have to change it it's not all that hard.

Picked up a Xigmatek NRP-MC851 as a replacement for my broken PSU. Also I RMAed another F1 1TB. Second time this has happened
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Bought a Q9400 at microcenter for 180 bucks... 4gb of corsair 800mhz for 20 bucks... a gigabyte p45 DS3L for 72 bucks and a game design friend is sending me his 8800GTX(he bought 2 of the latest nvidia cards for a new system)
I can finally buy some current games and hopefully see a huge jump in pshop and 3dmax renders...
