Copy C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2.

You'll then have C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2 and C:\Program Files\EA Games\Copy of Battlefield 2

Then install the patch.

You will then have C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2 which is patched to 1.5
and
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Copy of Battlefield 2 still @ 1.41

When you want to play 1.41 again, rename "Battlefield 2" to something else (BF2_1.5?), and Copy of Battlefield 2 to Battlefield 2

Alternate as required...
