I have contacted EA for assistance I gave them my PID #44578380 to try and have my password reset but they want me to log in with my EA account manager name as you do with Battlefield 2142. I'm trying to load a profile that was linked to gamespyid. I got that password reset and I still cant log in. I can view my stats on BF2s but I can't play. The game will crash to desktop if I enter the correct password. EA is no help at all any suggestions.

Just start a new account like I said before, stats aren't really important to anyone really and its fun to regain the easy ranks again and make people think your noob with rank but own them. lol
Wait so if you start the game and try logging into your account with the correct username and password the game crashes to desktop? that's the only problem right now?
Can you log in with other accounts?
I was able to retrieve my account but when I went to launch the game it states your CD key is invalid? Help I have reinstalled and patch the game on the correct sequence and I still can't play
You've reinstalled the game and patched it...now before it even starts it says your CD key is invalid? Try reinstalling it again and this time make sure your CD key is exactly as it is on your copy of BF2, presuming you've bought the game and aren't using an illegal copy, keygen, or anything of the sort.1MaNArmY wrote:

the CD Key is exact and straight from the manual, Ive even ran the EA Battlefield 2_code.exe that allows you to re-enter your code in the support folder. I think maybe the 1.41 patch may be corrupted? The game was registered with EA so it is correct. I've re-downloaded it again and will uninstall the program again. This is getting to be a pain in the ass. I'm installing this game on a Vista 64 bit system think that maybe the problem? I might have to resort to installing it on XP?Noobpatty wrote:

Yes, I have the original CD and the key is taken straight from the back of the manual
okay so now after editing my registry and reinstalling BF2 I can now load without the invalid CD key but now I'm getting kicked by punkbuster for restricted OS priviledges. WTF now

I'm finally up and running with all expansions and booster packs with no PB issues after a week of hell, now to get back into the flow of things. Thanks to all who assisted me with my troubles
