Starcraft2 has been in the works for a good 2 1/2 years, and still nothing. More likely it is going to be cancelled just like Command and Conquer FPS tiberium wars and Starcraft ghost. whats worse is that Starcraft 2 is being divided into a trilogy ( Wings of liberty and 2 others), which i think really sucks. but then again Blizzard is enjoying its profit from all the noobs who play World of Warcraft, so in their mind it makes no sense for them to release a game anytime soon.
