With the new 1.21 patch ive been noticing that in the middle of a game sometimes my computer completely locks up and freezes can someone help.

I've noticed this too.. Usually the first round I play, the computer will randomly freeze up completely, like I'm staring at a screenshot of the game .. then after about 30 seconds it kicks me back to the server select screen saying my connection was lost. Once I rejoin, I don't see the problem again it seems.
I know it's not my connection, we play bf2 from 3 PCs on the same connection and they do not get kicked... Maybe it is my overclock? but my overclock is stable. really weird.

I've just developed it aswell. Never had any probs and now it hangs when I enter my first game and throws me out completly now and then. Also I now get a message saying I have a modified version of BF2 ???WTF It says please return your versions to the original version or some crap like that, has anyone got any idea what the hell I've done ????
