McCain wouldn't have spent more than the all of the past Presidents (W included) COMBINED in less than two fucking months. -He ran on a platform of appearing to be somewhat fiscally conservative.
Two things...
If McCain took the position that the GOP seems to be currently supporting of letting the market clear itself, we'd mostly be in soup kitchens right now.
Second, blaming Obama for spending so much ignores the fact that the damage done to this country's economy stems from actions made by several previous administrations and the Fed Reserve. Most of which was out of Obama's control.

McCain wouldn't have launched an epic apology tour to the world. Great, what every President has done and America's accomplishments -his dumb ass has wiped out.
You see it as apologetic, but most of the world sees it as rebuilding the bridges that Bush burned.

McCain wouldn't promise a transparent, no lobby administration then appoint tax cheats and lobbyist. Tea Party anyone? Granted it's not gonna receive any mention in the media, but hell...
Of course he wouldn't. McCain knows how the game is played. Anyone powerful enough to reach the presidency is going to be corrupt, and the kind of people that are qualified to be in a Cabinet typically have dark secrets of their own.

McCain wouldn't be out to bankrupt affordable energy. Obama's statement about bankrupting any new coal plant.
I think you're referring to Biden's gaffe, not an Obama quote.

McCain wouldn't be out to nationalize the banks and Automotive industry. See my post on Ob's refusal to take payback money from banks.
At this point, we might as well nationalize them. Those markets were never free to begin with, and they never will be. All we've currently got is corporate collusion with government, which is worse than socialism, by the way.

McCain wouldn't have increased spending in all areas of the economy while slashing military (we're still at war) defense spending. Thanks Obama, we're back to pre 9-11 mentality.
Well, I'd hope we're ending the mentality of fear and paranoia that 9/11 tricked us into falling for.

The 2008 campaign was a joke. It was all about how the media could suck off Obama and build him into something he's not, a saviour.
The Republican side was the joke. McCain tried to simultaneously portray himself as a maverick while agreeing with most of Bush's policies.

Bush totally fucked up during his second term. He let the media unfairly crucify him. History will prove him right.
I think there's a better chance history will prove Ron Paul correct about the Fed Reserve and the Iraq War.

You want reality? Look at the responses nations like North Korea, Russia and Iran give Obama. They don't give a fuck who he is. They still hate you and me. At least McCain would of had America's best interests in mind in dealing with other countries rather than one who serves his own agenda.
Reality is that diplomacy is better than war. Sometimes, that involves welcoming a dialogue with countries not currently interested in talking. Obama's calm responses to the Taliban and Iran clearly confused them. Eventually, Iran will come to its senses, and some Taliban members will defect.
