If you jump through a gate and theres a gatecamp on the other side WAIT cloaked for 30 seconds. use that time to get intel. But you have to wait 30 seconds. then, once its over you MWD back to the gate and overheat if you have to. once you're at the gate you can instantly jump back through.

If you get aggression on somebody and they log off you can scan them down and kill them in 15 minutes. a bubble counts as aggression.
Never heard this about beating gatecamps before... why the 30 second wait, is it there a jumping timer?
There's a 30 second wait for a session change.

Also, don't join a fleet if you are running for your life. You will not be able to jump through a gate or dock for like 20 seconds after accepting a fleet invite.

Learn these game mechanics the best you can before pvp'ing in expensive ships. It will save you much frustration/anger.

I GUESS you're right.. what you should do is train it to a decent level, earn isk carebearing whilst finding a decent corp. Then you train for something cheapish like a hurricane for starting pvp or go for the amarr ships like the zealot/curse/harbi. Also. if you're looking to start pvp train for a Taranis (gellante ceptor) if you're a suicidal player or crusader (amarr ceptor) to start to get the hang of pvping.

I prefer amarr ships because they have good tank and don't stick out when fighting. with amarr ships you can stay far away from the target so every time you engage you aren't asking to be pimaried. caldari ships (except the hawk/drake/falcon/cerb and the crow (FOR TACKLE DUITYS) just dont cut it in pvp. shield tanks die in fire when given enough dps. minmitar are freaking tricky. the rifter wins, the wolf wins. all their hacs are crazy and their rapiers are scary. however their large sized ships are shit and when you fight you have to get in REALLY close and you have little to no tank most of the time (which spells disaster when doing normal engagements in 0.0). now, Gallante. Gallante are cool. tricky. useful. drones are kinda weird because they take a while to get to their target.. they also need to get into blaster range (you win or you die) and their resistances are lose so if you get a lot of dps you burn up quickly. To be fair I have to talk about the weaknesses of amarr. amarr have great dps and good tank but sometimes its either one or the other. all the amarr cruisers are kinda bad except the arbi. the amarr assault frigs are pretty much useless unless you have dedicated tackle in which case you should probably be flying a ceptor. The sac and zealot are very very nice but the zealot has a small tank but nice sniper range, the sac is nice.. I guess... but it might be cool to fly if you're cross training from caldari. the harbi is nice. very nice. and ALL the amarr bs's are great. same with capitals. and the command ships are wonderful.

There's a rundown from a 0.0 player who specializes in gang warfare (not faggy sniper/rrbs's/capitals)

my biggest advice is to stick to something and train the support skills. It's much better to be trained for something well then to be trained for EVERYTHING. with caldari tho you're stuck to support roles so it's worth it to train another race. Also, when you're well trained in all your support and you've gotten to hac's and ceptors and recons in one race you're almost at a slowdown for training skills. Right now I'm maxxing my gunnery... then I think I'll train battle cruisers to v... so yeah. long wait. Then I might train bs's.. more support. and... after that point im stuck either cross training to minmitar or training capitalships.

woo.

eve.
where do you "specialize in gang warfare" and what corp are you in?    alot of what you said is utter BS. crow not good for pvp? amar assault frigs useless?  minmata BS cant tank and only good for short range?    so im interested to know just how much combat experience you have.   you are entitled to your opinion, I just would like to see if your combat experience can back it up.

the vengence has shit dps and a good tank.. but that doesn't matter for something that shouldn't be getting hit so much as the signature radius is the tank. the retribution has 1 mid slot. Wheres the point? (granted I use it... sometimes. I'd rather use an iskur or wolf)

Crow is a dedicated tackler. It tackles. well. But if a crusader or tarantis goes after it it cant do much except run away.

minmitar bs's are gimped and everyone I've talked to said so... I couldn't really argue about it but everyone I asked wanted either a mega or abaddon over any minmi bs when flying in 0.0.
I know the IEX guys from way back  they are a good group even though we have always fought them.   but the crow is a kick ass inty!  i'd take on a taranis any day with it.  crusader offers a bit more trouble though.  and mini is not as good as it used to be, but the typhoon and maelstrom can be very good gang ships. the tempest used to be the shit 3 years ago, now you rarely see them. but i suppose it does go down to personal preference most of the time.   I just wanted to see if you really fought or if you were just talking shit since most of the players on BF2S are carebears >)

I've been playing off and on for 5 years now. my corp has 35 members but there are only 5 to 10 active at any given time these days. people play for a couple weeks and then stop for a month etc...   we did the space holding alliance thing for a year and got sick of all the drama so now we just kick back and do what we want and do empire wars. 0.0 is fun, but we dont have the numbers for that anymore and just get carriers dropped on our 5 man gangs.

Astro's corp is falling apart, I think. Other than that, -10 is pretty fun.

Your links didn't work but respect man. I can tell you know what you're talking about too. I've been posting to help the players on bf2s who haven't bothered with pvp yet not to stroke my internet spaceship ego or start fights.

Speaking of which. BERNIE. GO GET ON SOME KILLMAILS. Go use a blackbird or falcon, I mean, you talk about how they are good in pvp.. Don't be afraid to die in a fire. Go!

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

Well guys anybody who's heard me carrying on about that epic arc I was chasing knows that I was having some difficulty with a few of its requests.

I've had to give up on it for now as the latest mission involves dropping an NPC harby with multiple frigs in escort. My coercer just can't take the damn thing down with hit and runs or anything. Cruisers I can deal with but battlecruisers are a bit harder to drop.

Doesn't make a difference. The NPC drops my shields and empties my capacitor before I can get his down at any range. It also has more range.

Your shields dont matter as you're flying amarr.. you also shouldnt be running out of cap that quickly.

whats your fitting?

4 small mid beams and 4 small gatling beams all with infared crystals. Basically on the mid beams my optimal range is close to my max targetting range.

A few armour 100mm armour plates and a small repair unit. Haven't been into amarr space for a bit so haven't got any resistance plates atm to fit.

Can't put anything that makes a difference in the mid energy slot with that loadout, which works really well for NPC frigs and such... Haven't really had a need to go and refit for something more sensible yet so I haven't. Might have to now or just go run some other level 1s.

never mix beams with pulses.
Use either multifreq (high damage) standard (most cap stable) or microwave (long range with lower dps)

plates are for pvping and only one should be applied. you use them when you're preparing to die if they keep shooting at you. (they will in a mission) so use resistance.

DON'T train learning skills yet! Wait until you hit 1.6million skill points.

It used to be 'train all learning skills first' - now it's 'train all learning skills first AFTER you hit 1.6' - apparently, due to the double-training-rate thing in the new system, if you train learning skills it'll do more harm than good. Train your basic combat skills. Gunnery, mechanic, engineering, electronics, navigation and drones.

While camping a 0.0 sec system, a cyno suddenly appeared on my overview. Disregarding the FC's advise to steer clear, I warped my cerb 100k off of the cyno, saying to myself, "bah, that should be out of range of the warp disruption batteries that are most likely on the pos that is probably next to the cyno.

I landed, killed the magnate that was defenseless, and then tried to warp away. It was then i realized i had a problem.

My shield levels plummeted as I desperately tried MWD'ing away from the POS while spamming the warp function and the word "fuck". Unfortunately it was all in vain, as my trusty heavy assault ship turned into that all too familiar animation of a blue explosion.

I was told afterward that the range of those modules was 150k.

Now all that read this post will also know, lol.

I had a bad experience the other day with a cyno field too. I had 3 minutes left on my aggression countdown and i warped 100km off a cyno field to see what was coming through, the fucker put it right under a station and the sentry guns instapoped my 30mil isk crusader.
