I think that we have all seen WAY to many "Help me get the knife badge" posts. I did a search and way to many poped up. so here is an easy run down on how to get ANY badge without pulling your hair out!!

Its very simple and everyone has been saying this forever! but here it is plain and simple...

Join a 64 player server with LESS than 20ish people!

Reason being, on a 64 player server with limited people, you have TONS of tickets and TONS of time!

Example, Last night I played on a 64player 24/7 wake server. there were 16 peeps, 8 each side. in ONE round I got my basic knife, my vet pistol, my valouious(spelling, IAR 45 mins in squad, global 25hrs leader/mate) badge, Helo badge, Vet engineer medal, my best round score of 150something, AND promoted from staff to GnySgt. The round was about a good hour and 15ish minutes.

But you can see that with so much time, you can dedicate yourself to getting one or more badges that have been plagueing you for some time!

Thanks drake666, I don't see any point is crying about it. yes it was a pain in the ass before I got it, yes I was frustrated when I would get 6 knifes IAR and the round would end. But its all part of the game, I wouldn't feel(and I hope no one else would) like I earned it if it was easy... like the parachute ribbon! 10 seconds in a chute? no bragging rights.

Now if it was 1-3 kills IAR while IN a chute...... now THAT would be bragging rights.

thats nice but lets see you get expert knife without complaining that yur internet connection chokes at 16

That's how I got my BRS of 266 playing on Sharqi....hehe. I think I also got my armor ribbon and combat action ribbon that round too.

Good advice....works every time.

I've been thinking about putting together a whopping great post with input from experienced players that say how they got their knife/pistol/expert heal/expert supply/expert repair/explosives/anything thats hard badges, ribbons, and medals.

I just don't want to waste my time if noones going to adhere to whats said and keep polluting these boards with the useless crap anyway.

I got my Veteran Explosives on a full 46-man server. It was on Warlord and we had pushed the Insurgents back to the second floor and all I did was run around laying claymores.

yes,they all count but SF has a few extra

I too got my basic on a normal round. Expert though..I had to join a sparsely populated server to pull it off. I think it was 64 player map size, 42 people on Karkand.

I've fallen out of favor with 64 player maps that are full. 42 people is plenty on any map, and a lot more fun when you can run around for a bit before seeing the 15 second countdown again.

IMO 64 Sharqi is the best for knife badges. I was playing on BFSUPREME last night and it wasn't quite full, 45-50, people I believe and I managed to pull off 9 knife kills which netted me my vet and got me to 100 knife kills so I'm now ready to go for the illustrious gold!!! The key is watching your mini map and finding a good spot to just hide out and wait for someone to go running by unsuspecting of you and then just sneak up behind them and it's a done deal 99.9% of the time. The building to the West of City Entrance is a great spot since everyone on MEC seems to go that way to get to the Alley flag. The key is to just not give up because although definitely one of the more difficult badges to get in the game it is totally attainable!
