More entitlement, Did these parents speak to the parents of the bully? DId they speak to the bully himself. what did these parents do to help their son gain the confidence he needed to deal with a bully. If they are like most parents, they dropped their kid off at school ( babysitting) and forgot about him. Their kid had a confidence problem, and a self worth problem that the parents never addressed, so now it is the schools fault. Go figure.

1. Talking to the parents of he bully wont do anything, 99% the parents are trash which is why the kids acts out.
2. Talking to the kid will only make things worse because they will take it out on the child later on embarrass the child more and further kill confidence.
3. Even if the kid had confidence problems there is still no reason he should be bullied at school. You are there to get an education to better yourself not be bullied by some stupid ass kids.

1.Better to stand by and do nothing to the point your kid kills himself, gotcha.

2. Depends on how you approach the kid, again apparently doing nothing except bitch AFTER your kid is dead didn't seem to be the answer.

3. Bullies at school, just like in real life, is part of social interaction that you must deal with, unless of course dealing with it includes blowing your own brains out. You gotta toughen up, life is not easy and rarely handed to you on a silver platter. Standing up for yourself comes to mind. The parents shoulda took time to relay that to their kid.

Didn't you say you were going to send your kids to private school to avoid the social interaction at public schools like this?
I don't know the answer, I'll admit that, but I do know that those options you gave won't work.
Finally they agreed to drop the lawsuit if the school puts in better rules.

Nope, my kids go to public school, my kids are taught to stand up for themselves. In fact, I have already had conversations with them regarding bullying. My answer for them was simple. Stand up for yourself and do not let anyone push you around. Even if it meant getting in a fight and being suspended. I told them if they stood up for themselves and got suspended, I would take them on a vacation for the duration of their suspension as a REWARD for having enough self respect to stand up to bullies.

Rules are already in place. I know of no school that permits perscution of students by other sudents. The fact is the school is there to teach, as you have said, they are not referees nor police. Deal with your own problems.

Stand up for yourself, sounds nice but things could go very bad quickly with that.
Like I said I don't know the answer, I wasn't bullied in High School.
But seems like every answer just creates more problems in a way.

In most cases once the bully is humiliated with a good ass whippin of his own he crawls in a hole and stays there, around you anyway.

You mean things can go worse than being bullied so baddly you kill yourself, please by all means do tell how much worse things could go for you.

Jesus, are you all so willing to just stand by and let yourseves become victims in every aspect of life? YOu won't defernd your homes because a criminals life is worth more than your hearth and home and now you don't think standing up for yourself in a bully induced confrontation is not sound advice, knowing the only option available is to let yourself be pushed around. 3. Make note of the line "I would find other ways to get at a person" I wasn't bullied in High School so I don't know how to it works for getting out of it. A good amount of my enemies would end up getting arrested for drugs they couldn't answer to how in got in their room, locker, pocket, backpack. Always was simple and worked for other things there are other ways to hurt people also. That method is extreme though.

3. lol anyone I had problems with, I generally avoided fights, I wouldn't let it get to that point. Um do you really think this is the way I act, things I talk about or way I talk in real life? I don't, nobody suspect anything because I was careful always kept my misdeeds to myself. Here nobody knows me so I can be completely honest.
