If you go into your Bf2 default game folder and find the "movies" folder, simply renaming it will make it so that neither the annoying EA or Dice movies will load before the menu.  One downside is that the menu won't have a background, but that doesn't matter for me at all.  Takes load down from 20sec to 5 for me...

yep, did this a while back.  it does cut down the loadtime significantly.  now if we could cut down the time it takes to "verify client data" when joining a server...

This has been repeated numerous times on these forums already. Also, if you just go into that folder and create a new folder then you can move everything but the menu movies into the new folder and you still get the bg movies.

yeah just put the ea.bik dice.bik legal.bik and intro.bik in a seperate folder, works great
