1. Run a series of virus scans and spyware scans (avast! and spybot should work for now); run chkdsk (your main drive) /f [should come up as something like chkdsk c: /f] from command prompt; run disk defragmenter
a. if issue remains, step 2

2. update motherboard driver software, sound drivers and video drivers from the manufacturer source; particularly grab the sound card ones from Creative Labs
a. if issue remains, step 3

3. Remove your sound card. Attempt to recreate issue.
a. if issue is resolved, replace sound card with newer one and remember to use proper drivers
b. if issue remains, step 4

4. download and run a program called MemTest86, which will put your memory through a grilling series of stability diagnostics.
a. if memory errors crop up, memory may be (one) of the components at fault
b. if memory is fine, step 5

5. try a higher-wattage power supply, say 450W, if one is readily available.
a. if one isn't available, skip to step 6
b. if one is, attempt to recreate issue; if issue remains, step 6

6. Downclock all your components to factory default, unplug unnecessary items. attempt to recreate issue
a. for each successful test, plug one more component back in and retest. issue item should surface.
b. if issue remains, it could be your power supply, or any of the critical components (motherboard, CPU, memory; maybe even the current BIOS version).

meh i fixed it anyways thnx for da help though and my system is actually a very low voltage using system if u look at the specs, but im waiting till windows vista to update my comp.
