You'll always get a bad apple in any basket, and no military that operates on a large scale can claim to be clean of stuff like this.

BBC has gone a little downhill of late, too much coverage on jade goody for my liking. But the article does say pretty clearly that the college has printed these testimonies. I don't really know why a soldier would make it up.

Oh cmon, it's not like it never happened. usmarine is acting like it's never happened and that it has to be proved completely, of course it happened it was a war and Israeli's hate Palestinians and given the chance it's not surprising that many did what people have alleged them to do. What's the point in denying it/trying to defend them? No point covering up your eyes/burying your head in the sand, the Palestinians aren't completely clean and everyone knows it, but what I don't understand about some people is the complete refusal to accept/beleive that Israel is a nation that does no wrong whatsoever. Maybe it goes back to how people see Israel as a land of god and all that shit about Jews I dunno, maybe it was that fucking Catholic school or some shit lulz

To think that war crimes don't happen on both sides of the Arab-Israeli conflict is just silly... or that it only happens on the Arab side

it not that a soldier "made them up." eye witness accounts are terrible. pretty much law enforcement takes eye witness testimony with a hug grain of salt.

but, i will reserve judgement until these stories are deemed "credible."

No I see the point clearly, although you're talking about a specific example you always seem to be like this when it comes to Israeli-Arab conflict, you seem to be able to note all the Arab crimes like most of us can but when it comes to Israel you seem to get abit defensive/uppity about things and say this and that.

That's the difference, you can't see both sides of the conflict, you only choose to see it on one side. I was like that for abit, and I'll still admit I still lean towards Israel than I do towards the Muslims obviously, but I still try to see both sides of the story/conflict

But you must understand that the militants are often as cold-hearted as the military machine they are fighting against. They know there will be civilian casualties but they accept them anyway in the hope that these casualties will publicize their cause and gain them sympathy from the outside world... it's all very cynical. I feel sorry for the innocent members of the public who get used as pawns in the whole mess, Jews and Arabs.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Some of the actions being alleged here are terrorism plain and simple and if proven should be regarded as such in the eyes of the International community.
