Given Obama's current butchering of most of his campaign promises, I wouldn't worry too much about Universal Healthcare coming about any time soon.

Such as?

I know there have been a few, but to say "most of" is quite a stretch.

Bringing back prohibition wouldn't make our healthcare any cheaper, so what makes you think that legalizing pot would make healthcare more expensive if it is taxed heavily?

In case you didn't realize, 90% of the conformist A-holes here blow things out of proportion about Obama cause it's the cool thing to do. It doesn't matter that he's done nearly nothing wrong and people here just blame him for things people in his party, the Democratic party, consisting of millions of people, even though he can't exactly control people's actions. It doesn't matter that not only did Bush go back on everything he promised, but did the complete opposite in a lot of cases. Dumbasses. So don't take those comments too seriously.

As for healthcare; wouldn't solving out budget crises (or helping to) by bringing in billions of $ from Weed Taxes a year help things like healthcare and schools and govt. jobs?

Chill the fuck out, I like Obama. I liked most of the things he said he was going to do in his campaign, but he just hasn't delivered on them so far. Great example of that being the deadline to pull the troops out of Iraq. That said, I'm changing my mind on the usefulness of universal healthcare idea, so I'm not too fussed that he's not doing much about that, and I'm pretty happy he's decided to stay in NAFTA.

I disagree.  Legalisation will not just remove the legal issues from purchase, but also from production and preparation - no need to hide plots, as it can be grown in paddocks or proper indoor facilities without fear of being raided.  The production of weed will become much like the production of any other consumable - there will be cheaper, lower quality brands and more expensive, higher quality brands.  Supply and demand.  If anything, commercialisation of the whole process will mean overall quality becomes more consistent.

I'm predicting delivery services which specialise in weed/food combos...maybe pizza hut will offer a deal for a pizza, chips, bottle of drink and a quarter?

It's a nice thought, but none of these things are happening in the Netherlands, so I can't see it happening in the States. Same goes for cigarette companies selling pot.

I never said you in specific either though. Just a lot of people on here. But, really. How long has he been in office? It's also other people stopping him from pulling troops out. Also, it would be a bad idea to announce a troop withdrawal considering every extremist in the middle east would come from hiding ready to leap the second we're out.

And in that short time he's extended the deadline for removing troops from Iraq about 3 times. In general he's changed his tone a lot from what he was saying whilst campaigning.

Under the premise that marijuana is no worse than alcohol, maybe.  However, my personal experiences have shown that frequent marijuana users are typically less productive and have a greater tendency to to be idiots than alcoholics.
