Something on the school network messes up the browser when I try to search, so sorry for this (and here we go)...

What are the real requirements to get the Service ribbons for Special Forces? I'm aware that the requirements of 5 hours play aren't entirely correct... So, any ideas or answers?

That's not actually right.

* 50 hours in theater as that army + play all maps that army is on at least once.

Actually unless I'm wrong all of the badge, medal, and ribbon information is in the UBAR and not the Wiki and the information the UBAR gives for those ribbons is incorrect which is why it shows on BF2S like you have earned a ribbon that you haven't actually gotten yet.  Chuy just hasn't fixed it yet.

ditto..i got my SAS ribbon after 50 hours playing SAS, altho other armies were still 5 - 20 hours... so i believe it is 50hours playing the ribbon's army. but no Spetz ribbon. and i play mostly in ghost town. isnt that Spetz's theatre too?

but to say that, is there a difference playing in, say, SAS's theater than playing as SAS?

Playing in SAS's theater means that SAS is on that map. Playing as SAS is just that.

Not, only did you not use the search feature, but this is in the wrong thread.  There is one that states UBAR wrong prove it.  You did not have to use the search function to read throught that section, I also know that the thread has the exact question in it. I asked it.  So next time, if you can not use the Search option, use a little common sense, or stop being lazy, and you will be able to find the answer.

OK for every Ribbon you need 50 Hours i n theater.
I got Spetsnaz and SAS, and have alittle left for Insurgants and Rebel.
You need about 25-30 hours real hours to get SAS or Spetsnaz.
About 20 -22 to get Rebel
And about 22-25 to get your Insurgent.
