That's pretty crazy. Photo of a nearby bomb mid explosion.

disturbing
A quick search on the net will reveal that this is one in a series of photos of the suicide bombing. The next photo is both amazing and graphic, as it displays a huge bloody mist raining down from the explosion.
I'm pretty sure that on the right hand side you can see some guy getting the back of his head obliterated.

Yeah, that ain't awesome. What you're witnessing is literally the last milliseconds of a group of people's lives right there face to face. From what I can tell from the URL, that's a pic of a blast in Sri Lanka, probably by the Tamil Tigers and it looks like they targetted a group of Muslims.
There you have it folks, a non-Muslim terrorist organisation blowing up a bunch of Muslims by suicide bomb.

Fucking hell. I don't know what else to say.

I dont think some people realise you can see blood flying in the pic at the top
I will defend my statement and awsm smiley with my belief that in horror lies beauty. Again (fuck it seems like everyday), the avatar and sig are testament to this. A dead bird and a clown with mercury poisoning. It's an artistic thing; the end of something as great as life, beautiful in a way. I know some who takes this fascination as far as the world trade towers. It was a beautiful thing in a way; the death of a gigantic corporate symbol which oppresses millions. Freedom in this sense.

You need to go see a shrink if you think someone ending someone elses life is "beautiful"Pochsy wrote:

Have fun un-seeing.

My thoughts exactly...bennisboy wrote:

I didn't even know Sri Lanka had a somewhat sizeable Muslim minority. Revenge for the Cricket attack in Pakistan or just Tamil Tigers being Tamil Tigers?
I can see what you're trying to say, infact my first reaction to 9/11 was pretty much that, a sense of awe and a "wow" (but without the messed up thoughts of the death of corporatism etc..), then once that is out of the way you start to think and realise what's just happenedPochsy wrote:

Muslims, Chunky style.
Then I suppose all those pushing the viewpoint are clinically insane (two of my professors). The idea does no revolve around the way in which a person dies; simply the fact that they have. It acknowledges that it is in fact horrific to die; but it sees the beauty at the same time. It sees life a beautiful and something that is to be lived to the fullest; and then taken away to our horror. It is the loss of beauty that is beautiful.bennisboy wrote:

Erm no. It is the loss of beauty that is tragic. Say your closest friend was to die, how is that beautiful? Say one of your close relatives is to die, how the fuck is that beautiful? Its bad enough if they pass away peacefully, but to be blown apart like those people were is horiffic. Life is beautiful, not the removal of life.Pochsy wrote:

We fundamentally differ in our views. I have expressed the idea as best I am going to before lecture in 10 minutes, so I will leave with Poe's "Theory of Beauty"bennisboy wrote:

I'll leave you to apply it to this scenario.

Anyone can have a theory, doesn't mean its right or socially acceptable. Its why its called a theory. I mean Hitler had a theory on why all Jews should die, didnt make him right did it?Pochsy wrote:

My intent was not a "Holy shit that's cool" but rather a "Holy shit that's some crazy timing/scary photo". I didn't notice the (possibly) blood though.
