BF2S Forums With the job loss's out there who has been effected by this

My older sister lost her job at a hospital as a nurse because of cutbacks. She was able to get a job at a nursing home for about the same pay but she hates it there.

One close high school friend of mine's mom is nearly broke and at last check he said she has $12 in her bank account. His dad's propane business went to shit.

A former coworker of mine lost his house.

Other then that I'm doing pretty well for now.

My step-dad got a reduction in his hours which has led to a 50% wage cut.
Step mom is as stable as it gets, two jobs at around £17 per hour, doing great for her.
My dad is fearing job uncertainty as a engineer
Mom is in a stable job as a supervisor
Brothers are in stable work

Myself went through job uncertainty, but now, job security looking good.

My father lost 80K on the stock market and is making 100K less than he used to, so he says.

So yeah, it'll be affecting me with where I go to college.

i got a wage cut from £6.10 an hour to £5.60, i was not told but saw it on my payslip, asked my supervisor and was told this is the new rate. stingy cunts, and i work at Derby county football club

My mother was laid off, but almost everyone else I know is doing well. I got a new job with a nice raise, then was promoted recently. My wife's income has gone up to even higher than mine. My brother just landed a sweet contract job. My best friend was just promoted and another one just renewed his $150/h consultant gig for another nine months. Everyone else is doing fine.

I work for a living, pay my bills and carry no debt aside from my house and car. I am not being dragged down.

All that being said, I know things are bad out there and we've been extremely fortunate. If things did get bad for us, my wife and I have planned for it and can survive for a while without major changes to our lifestyle.

One last thing, it has taken all my strength to not get all grammar-nazi on this poll.
