when i tried to login to bf2:sf it takes ~10 mins. however bf2 takes maybe 2. any ideas why my connection here at school is about 1mb/sec so i dont think it is bandwidth

Mines the same. When i log in it takes forever but then tries putting me into a game aswell.
When i login to my battlefield 2 account it takes about 2 mins. When i created my account it only took like 15 seconds. So does somebody know how to make it faster or what´s the problem?
clear all the dead servers out of your favourites list
If you have a lot of Favorites delete some. I used to have the same problem, then i deleted most of my favorites and now I connect in under 5 seconds
Yay i removed all the dead servers of my favourite list and also some "favourites" and now it´s a lot faster! I´m so happy! +1 for you guys

Try re-retrieving your account.
He is correct, click on the Single Player Battlefield 2 button instead of Play Battlefield 2 Now. Basically what happens is when you login your also refreshing the server list (that you can not see) and after 2 to 10 minutes later you auto joining a server. So to avoid this problem just click on the Single Player button and will only take 10 seconds to get in....RichyCizzo wrote:
