Prestige Victory - 100 years, hold 15 regions and have the highest prestiege (200 turns)
World Domination - 100 years, hold 40 regions (200 turns)
Also, whoever asked if you can play as pirates, no. I'll be playing as Sweden.

I'm gonna finish up the Road to Independence this weekend and then get started on the grand campaign.
I want this game so bad. I'd only be able to play on low and I don't feel like waiting a minute or two for all the stupid AI characters to play their turn.

200 turns is more than enough considering once you get a decent empire in the other ones you can take a settlement a turn if you have decent supply lines and a nice flow of cash along with a few massive armies laying siege to everything.

Got rid of the Irquiose, Huron and United States so now I control most of North America and a couple of provinces in the South plus all islands except Cuba ...
In Europe I control France, Spain, Wurtemburg, Flandern, Sardinia, Naples, Rome, Turin, Gibraltar and Morocco ...
Have just started my raid on India with Mysore as first target, landed two full size armies last night and will attack later today ...
Makes around 45K - 50K pr round so need to change government just yet, Queen Victoria and my current ministers have 80% support in the people
Am finishing up the last researchs and will prolly be done with those within the next 15 rounds or so ... got steam engine late last night so most of my money goes into upgrading indutrial buildings to make even more money
So far fighting Indians have been the most fun and you can be outnumbered and still win fairly easy as long as you lay siege to their cities and they come out to attack you, line up your favorite gunners in two lines and just wait for them to enter your trap ... my last battle i had 6 units of 12lb cannons to thin out the indians before they reached my deadly wall of 8 units of ranger elites that fire they rifles with impressive speed ... lastly the heavy cavalry finished of the retreating indians ... that battle was roughly 900 of my troops vs 1300+ indians with additional 900+ indians as reinforcements ... total indians killed in that battle was above 2200 and i only lost about 150 troops myself ... epic win

You have to keep on top of EB and Gamestop for your pre-order stuff, even if they look at you like you're the world's biggest nerd. If you don't, they'll either pocket it or give it to someone else. It's not a contractual agreement that you absolutely have to get the bonus stuff, so I'd recommend ordering it online relatively early to force their asses to send you your stuff rather than toss it in drawers with plush pokemon.Flecco wrote:

If they ever draw up an expansion, I hope we get it to 1930.
Let me expand on that. I've dried out on the battle music for Empire, but have a huge collection of era and cinema music on my storage drive that fits perfectly. At the same time, I don't want to have to run two monitors at once while playing this game because frankly, my laptop isn't powerful enough. If I want extenal music, I have to load it up before the game, or play it with another computer entirely, for the low, low price of 500 watts.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

As for pre-loading music, it can take a bit of time to program proper playlists, and there's only so many times I can listen to British Grenadiers on fife & drum before getting a splitting headache.
