Democrats, Republicans, and other nonAmericans need not post here.

So the Idea of this thread is " How to take back America " before the Democrats, Republicans, and Illegals destroy it.

Any ideas are welcome.

My idea:

Arrange protest marches in the vicinity of state capitals with armed citizen (guns or other LEGAL weapons) in which the theme is  "Handle the Problems facing AMERICA CITIZENS NOW, or face us later!"  " Unfuck the the fuck you have done to America NOW!"

The marches would be noviolent, but intended to basically reminded the elected officials of who they work for (lie to) and how serious the consequences of their actions could be as things get worse.

We should just be cool about it. "Yeah, I own a gun, doesnt mean I kill people." "I got a freind in Jesus, doenst mean I think I am better than you."

If someone tries to strike up a heated debate with you about politics, just stay cool. "Your point is valid, however I have to disagree because of so-and-so." Lots of leftist points can be turned on them. "Yes, America is protecting her interests abroad, and removing murderous dictators from power, its how we roll.".

It is incredibly difficult for most American liberals to effectively defend their points if you are able to remain calm and present the facts. We need to return to Conservative values and not go along with the things happening in Washington.

I doubt a protest is gunna do shit

I think our best bet is talk radio, coupled with the fact that Obama will not bring world peace, end world hunger, befriend all of our enemies, heal the blind, cure herpies, and pay for our houses in the next 4 years.

Kick out all of the social conservatives from the GOP and you might actually start winning elections again.
A great deal of people in the U.S. are fiscally moderate or conservative but the moral crusaders drive people away from the GOP.

If you change your characterization to "fiscally conservative and socially moderate" I think you've got something there.

The far-right social conservatives have a place...but it shouldn't be front and center of the Republican party.

Maybe, considering your history from the content of your post you seem like an older man who has had some military experience and is most likely from the south. Considering the period you grew up in, area, and life choices you probably grew up in a more conservative setting and the vast majority of people you met were socially moderate.

Now I'm a 18 year old male who lived his entire life in North New Jersey so the majority of people I met where socially liberal. Different periods and settings.

Regardless, everyone hates being told they are going to hell, are living a immoral lifestyle, killed their children (abortion), or are following a bullshit religion.

But the one thing I found relative among everyone, was that they all hated high taxes and supporting other people.

Didn't Mitch make a thread like this a while back? "How to save america" or something along those lines?

On a similar note, it's the whole damn liberals and conservative assholes who have been acting out of self-interest instead of for the good of the country. If we had people who governed from the center, we'd be in a much better place than having tit-for-tat politics, and even administrations.

That's what Obama is doing... we are trying to set ourselves apart... read the OP...lol

and I think BO has awakened a sleeping Giant of people who are pissed that they voted for a guy who has little experience...
promised the world... and says one thing... and does the opposite...  Healthcare isn't why our economy sucks... it's the banks and they need to stabilize... There are Tea parties being organized all over the US... Obama will go down as one of the worst Presidents in History...mark my words...    and 2010 and 2012 can't come fast enough... I just hope and pray the conservatives can all come together and get back to basics...

Before this wave of... cradle to the grave care from the govt swallows up more people... The entitlement folks think they are owed everything they need... Hard work and effort are not dirty words... and neither is being wealthy....
Who do you know that doesn't wan't the ability to work hard and become wealthy so they can do nice things for their families and themselves...
BO wants to get you hooked on govt aide... tax the heck out of the so called rich until they decide to give up also... great plan...

What exactly is "governing from the center"?

From what I've seen so far Barack Obama is not any more radical than previous Presidents.  He toes the corporate line as well as recent Presidents (maybe even moreso).  He is in bed with corporate interests and is pushing legislation that benefits the filthy rich majority, with a couple token traditionally "democratic" initiatives like healthcare that really have no teeth to implement on a broad scale (at least as of now).

The sad reality is that a fiscally conservative President will likely never be elected because concentrated capital interests are supremely reliant on funneling public money to private interests.  Obama is going the route of FDR in trying to ensure that inequal system of the transfer of wealth remains intact while trying to appease the biggest losers of that system (the lower classes).  Unfortunately until the inequalities of the corporate/government power arrangement are addressed there will be problems.  People had "hope" for "change" to that inequal system when in reality, "it's not change, it's more of the same".

I'm probably one of the more fiscally conservative people here bud.  I allocate about 30% of my check to savings, I funnel money to my 401K, I grow my savings by spending far less than I earn, I don't buy shit I can't afford, I have minimal debt and a good credit rating.  I know how to balance my own budget, unlike other "conservatives" (like the Governator).

Excellent, I myself am a recovering Republican.  I think voting won't make a difference until people are pissed off enough to start knocking an asshole off in government or the media here and there.

Then maybe more Americans will be ready to vote for REAL change because they will realise that the tide is turning.

I'm an older man who is in the military, but grew up (and have lived) all over. Yes, my family is mostly conservative, but my wife and her family are mostly liberal. Over the years, I've grown more liberal and she's grown more conservative.

I'd say a large part of your liberalism is due to your age. There are far more young liberals than older liberals. I think it has something to do with life experience, tbh.

Regardless, the people the Republican party has somewhat alienated due to catering to the evangelical minority are those fiscally conservative, socially moderate people who occupy the right-of-center demographic that is the majority of this nation.
