some people say its only a 500 increase from the 7800 . Not sure thats right ,

my 1900xtx still is better : ) when i can fix the lag issues im getting from bf2 in commander screen

Funny how everyone was saying that this card would smoke the x1900. My x1900xtx scored 10237 in 3Dmark05, and I have a AMD 3500+, not a fx55. If you read the bottom it shows what the 7800gtx scored. The 7800gtx512, beat the 7900gt, and lost to the 7900gtx. But, I admit those numbers look awfully low, even if the were running full AA, and AF.

That's because the test was running at 1280x1024. All of the other tests for previous cards were tested at 1024x768. IIRC, the ATI 1900XTX scored in the High 7,000 or low 8,000 at 12x10. Just wait for mature drivers, any nvidia card owner knows the two major advantages for going with nVidia cards:

1. Drivers
2. eVGA

However, with that said, I'm pretty sure those scores are fake. Just wait a whole 2 days for the card to be released. By Monday/Tuesday, all the reviews will start popping up.

the one thing I have to say though is that the cheap prices for the GTX is great, and caused ATI to slice their prices as well! No matter what, the release of the 7900GTX is a win/win even if the card performs subpar.

Porbably better to stick with the X1900, since its a very good card. I dont go for ATI because I have always had nVidia cards & never had a problem

My 7800GS (Agp) got 4900 in 3dMark 06 With standerd settings And usually about 20 -0 30 frames in each test I dont see much difference o,0

X1900XT Would be a better card because ATI have basically built it to make the Nvidia 7 series look shit.

I still love the Nvidia cards

These are the 2 cheapest top models of ati/nvidia. It appears that ati has the edge at the moment because the 1900 is performing better. I bought an evga 7800gtx for 450$ a month ago and now I could have a 1900xtx for the same price. Oh well, such is the nature of computer parts. I also bought a viewsonic vx924 last christmas for 400. Now they are selling a 20" widescreen for 450. What are you gonna do? These prices are only from newegg. I believe I saw the sapphire 1900xtx cheaper elsewhere, like 450.

7900 is essentially not a next-gen product. It's more of a placeholder until NVIDIA can push out the G80.

The 7900GT is *supposed* to be slightly better than a 7800GTX.

Im actually slightly disappointed in mine so far..

3dmark 03 around 13k, 05 around 6.7k, and 06 just finished at 4322.

This is at 565 / 1570 mhz ram, up from stock 450 / 1320.

Somethins not right.

the 1900xtx scores look good, except BF2 is optimized for Nvidia. Thing is all these setups should run BF2 @ max settings and his the 100FPS limiter so, who gives?
