That type of shot requires some strategery. In photography it's all trial and error.. you don't get many tries in this case.

The Kepler separation photo I thought was quite impressive, given the timing and visibility.
Currently at a geocentric distance of 874,087 km, drifting away from Earth at 1.133 km per second.
