My town is not getting any transportation/infrastructure boosts. I'm not sure about the other categories, but the locals feel we need to improve the roads.

So how's your state looking? Obviously the question is whether each state is getting the amount they need, and is it equitible. Do you feel your state is getting what it deserves? If not, how fair is it?

Our state is doomed.

The roads suck, the water system apparently needs to be redone, yet all our politicians can do is sit around and pat each other on the back.

No matter how much kalifornia gets, it will be a perpetual crisis where they have to have more more more.

Meanwhile, nobody says jackshit about the enormous costs of illegal aliens.

I surrender, this place is screwed.

What I mean is, of the pie there are funds for transportation/infrastructure (there's other parts too). My county is getting none. For instance, we need to fix a bridge over the shipping channel and do some maintenance on the port.

I'm sure we are getting our share in the education department, but probably not as much in the worker assistance area because our economy hasn't been overtly impacted by the economic downturn yet...

Apparently, NC is somewhere in the middle in what it will receive.

One state that doesn't seem to be getting jack shit is Colorado. I suppose that's because Colorado doesn't really need to improve...

True... I'm just saying, Colorado doesn't really need much improvement. They've got a lot of great aspects already.

North Carolina, on the other hand, is starting to get rather sketchy... Our crime rates are pretty high.

Colorado's economy is tubing. The Rocky Mountain News folded Friday. I would think that since most of this gov't spending is to spark the economy, Colorado certianly could use a boost.

My town is in bed with oil & seaport traffic, and the only real thing that would draw more folks to town would be to run the interstate from Mexico thru here...but it was cancelled. So on one hand, a few bucks would be able to deepen the port to take on more shipping, but on the other, we're kind of in a bubble - aka a little more stable right now, and we don't "peak" when the rest of the nation/world peaks economic-wise.

The idiot voters of the People's Republic of California. Have decided to pass a bond on a train to Sacramento. The current pricing estimates are over 100 times the original estimates, which were in the hundreds of millions. Never mind the state of the economy, our bridges, our roads, our water, the energy crisis, or the fact that the last 4 rail systems we built have turned into crime infested moneypits that are used by criminals and illegals to spread across the state. Oh, and our prisons? Those don't matter. Let's just let them all go. I'm sure they're all good people now.
