my god ur sig is awesome Psycho, also to unnamed newbie, do u think the gigabyte dual core 7800 is any good?
Cheers dude, a friend of the clan made it for me.
@Maj.Do - I think you're better off with a plain old NV7900, ATI1900 or something from the upcoming NV G80 line (might as well invest in DX10 support)
@psychotoxic187 - there are photoshop filters that can achieve that effect with any screenshot in two clicks
Yeah, I know, but I don't have photoshop. As far as DX10, I would seriously wait on that, it's due out towards the end of the year, and DX10 won't be used in very many games for quite awhile. By the time DX10 is standard, your new card will need upgrading any way.

...which is why I will be getting a new system at the end of the year to coincide with Unreal Tournament 2007. Until then, I will just sit here cheerfully imagining some sort of SLI'd 8900 Ultra GTX quad-core 1024MB in concert with a PPU card. But still, regardless of DX10 availability, the G80 is shaping up to be quite superior to G70.

And everybody with a computer should have photoshop. Endless hours of entertainment...

Why are you attacking the guy? He never said anything about the US, as in United States, he said they build them in the shops for you in Tawain. He's simply stating anyone can learn it, if you're going to be upgrading, like most gamers do, you need to learn about the building aspect of it. He never spoke down to anyone, and then you go and belittle him, and tell him he should understand what is written in the post, oh the irony hurts so bad.
First he quoted me, then stated u.... This means that he was speaking to me, dubbs, not the general person.  That is why I did it.
I'm only stating that they do it in taiwan, not the USA... not sure about the US, installing the OS isnt considererd hard, no manual work involved except for the enter button. You stated that dell cost more since they need the labour to build PC's... It takes a machine 2 second to insert CPU, Heatsink and that kind of shit. It takes 10-15 mins to get mobo part done, 10-20 mins to install to the case, add PSU and HDD's. Installing Windows does NOT take 1 hour, took around 30 min for my pc...
What are you installing Windows on a 4 GB hard drive?  The installer, just to install Window componets, take about 30 mins.  What about formating a new drive?
