- I found my next president, even if I gotta move to Australia!!
The attitude in the OP is what I would look for in a president. Not really sure how hard that was to figure out.DrunkFace wrote:
I am so confused, there are people arguing differing points of view about different people in different parties at different times that have fuck all to do with each other. Lowing WTF are you on about??? We don't even have a fucking president.
Yeah good luck with that lowing. It's going to be a long time before the Liberals come out of the wilderness of opposition.lowing wrote:

Same for the neo-cons with a bit of luck.Aussiereaper wrote:

Fuck Israel
Hope so.AussieReaper wrote:

Party seems to have lost it's way during the Howard years. I think there needs to be a bit of a purge in the front bench before they can really move on though. And this Costello nonsense has to go away. He should challenge or shut the fuck up.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
Think they'll amalgamate with the Nationals?

Depends. If they keep on in the direction they are then yes, if they remember their roots then no.
Problem is, Australian population has become heavily urbanised. Libs were based in the generally conservative rural areas. Guess you have to change with the times to survive in politics though. They probably will have to, if the coalition doesn't implode because the Nationals are sick of cock-ups by the Liberal leadership/infighting.

Well the Nationals may represent the bush but the Libs represent large business. The urbanisation hasn't hurt the Libs that much, it has hurt the Nationals though.
And as for the Democrats... lol
And as for the Democrats... lol

Libs started out in the bush as that's where the money in Australia used to come from. Farming and mining, still does to an extent, all the farms I've seen and worked on are definitely big business. The smallest one, owned and operated by a single man was pulling 300k+ a year. He cut costs a lot though through the use of backpacker labor. Heh. The Liberal party used to maintain high tariffs and espoused economic protectionism for our industries and business. Libs have only really represented big business due to Howard's massive changes to the party in my opinion. Glad we have the CLP here in the NT, rather than the Liberals. Gotta be up in 5 hours. I'm off.

That's BS Aussie. The maintenance contract has not been signed yet. Stop believing the fucking media (lol at SBS and ABC quotation), they wouldn't know if their arse was on fire.AussieReaper wrote:
Flecs you should watch SBS from 6:30pm til 7 then switch it over to the abc.
And another of the problems with the fighters he bought is that all the electronics were copyrighted and classified material so if we want to repair them we have to pay US mechanics to, and we can't modify the system at all.
At the moment BAE Australia has the maintenance contract for the Classics (F18A and B models) and the Supers are being negotiated. That said, our company is looking after the Link-16 support and we are a wholly owned private Aussie company.
I've been in the Defence industry now for over 20 years so sorry if this reads harsh, I am trying to put an old head on young shoulders.
I guess to sum up, our Defence force is world class and please don't believe the media. They drag out old retired officers that haven't flown for 20 years to give an uneducated opinion.
Peace out!
"The maintenance contract has not been signed yet." Kind of something you would consider an important initiative to take when signing every other
contract in connection to the fighters. What's he supposed to sign now he is in opposition? Guess the Liberals didn't think that far ahead.
Seasprite Helicopters.
