Oh sure, I love the miliary spec ones, they're bad ass. But are they even made by the same people? I thought GM used the name under license.CrazeD wrote:

C'mon, the original military-issued hummers are pretty bitchen. It's the cheap ass H2's and H3's that suck nuts.
Straight line speed, and most of them aren't.phishman420 wrote:

The one thing that irks me about yankee cars is the sheer lack of BHP they get from those huge engines, they could be made much more efficient
fucking idiots
Audi S3 2.0L engine, roughly 265 BHP
Mustang 4.6L V8 300 BHP
Thats an engine over twice the size with 35 BHP more. Thats what I call engineering genius
i dont know shit about cars. all i know is that the z06/zr1 are faster than ferraris/lambos/etc and thats all that matters to me
straight line is all that matters. im never going to be on a track. if im racing someone its going to be on a highway or road in a straight line
If we wanna get really funky we could bring jap cars into the equation.
Evo FQ 400
405hp from a 2l straight4 T
wat

So why has one of your (and others) points of defense about the ZR1 been it's ring lap timesphishman420 wrote:

I saw that the other day, it's really sad. But other than the Corvette and Camaro, don't forget about the CTS-V. This economy better bounce back asap now, this is probably the worst I've seen!

Straight line racing is for drivers who are too stupid to do anything but ram the throttle in to the chassis. End. Of. Story.
lies and slander. its fucking sexyyyyyyyy. i do like the look of bmws/benzes more, but its still a great looking car

The Chrysler 200 will be pretty neat too when it come out...if it does.

It is true that alot of engines from the US are massive in terms of cc yet the power output doesn't really match it. We're talking about standard cars here, not supercars or high performance cars. It seems like every argument against the US auto industry is ended with the ZR1, one car that's now probably out of production because nothing else was good enough to keep the company afloat. Even then, others have already refuted the 'vette statement
yeah srsly, find a new trophy car lol.Mekstizzle wrote:

Just been working on a Lexus LS600h, now that really is a nice car. Done some LS460's before now but there something about the hybrid drive.
You wrote that and yep you are right but all you'll get back from the yanks is their well aged rhetoric.Mekstizzle wrote:

You a mechanic?
The car is still going to be sold. All they're doing is closing the research department for future models. Don't think they won't still put the ZR-1 on the streets...Mekstizzle wrote:

edit - Forgot to mention. It's funny how other people are always complaining about how people brag about the Corvette. Japanese fans all hail the Skyline, a car with a feature that is pretty much known to break your transmission. So well known it voids your friggin warranty if you use it. If you ask me, any car that has a feature that has a "Warranty Voided if Used" sticker on it is hardly worth bragging about.
Why do you need to put on a flame suit when you speak the truth?Roger Lesboules wrote:
